Amanda K. Snyder is a Denver-based painter born and raised in Southern Louisiana. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Snyder’s practice explores memory, the emotional weight of everyday moments, and the passage of time through figurative paintings informed by found photographs. Her work considers how these fleeting moments shape our relationship to the present.

Snyder had a solo exhibition with the SeeSaw Art Gallery (CO). She recently just completed The Canopy Program, NYC Crit Club, based out of Chelsea, NYC and the Art District of Santa Fe’s Emerging Artist Residency, in Denver, CO. She received her BFA from the School of Art and Design at Louisiana State University. She co-founded the letterpress design studio Paper Plates Press with her husband before returning her focus to painting full time.
